« on: Wednesday 30 January 19 16:17 GMT (UK) »
Patrick Conneely born in the claddagh galway 1921 and died 1974 in Galway.
His Mother was Ellen McDonagh m.1919  d.1975 who had married a Patrick Conneely m. 1919 d.1960
The Conneely's are in the census for the Claddagh, Fair Hill 1901-11 apart from that they are a bit vague, some of the children of Patrick and Bridget Conneely nee Dixon [parents]m.1876, both died 1921 went to America and some of the children of Patrick and Ellen McDonagh went to England some say to Aldershot, London and Coventry area.
Thank a lot for any help or guidance.

As i am newish and back on this site i have misled you and other's a bit by my brevity thinking i was helping others to help me!

I have most of the birth cert's, marriage certs for the Conneely's and some of the death cert's and have some travel documents too and from America.  But the UK side nothing but what i was told but unable to flesh that side out.

No problem but with so many Conneelys it is important to pick correct one at the start....

Considering that some may have gone to Aldershot, could there be a military connection?

Connelly Connetion ????
Was Ellen related Patrick??

My Great Grandmother Mary Teresa D’Arcy Nee O’Sullivan was born to Jeremiah & Ellen O’ Sullivan Nee Connolly on The 12th February 1868. She married and settled in Fairhill Road Claddagh. Mary Passed away in Caltra in 1924.

Jeremiah was born circa 1820. Jeremiah’s occupation was recorded as a Sailor on some documents and as a publican/grocer on others. Jerimiah died at sea on 11th February 1892.

Ellen Connolly was born in 1826 and she passed away (Tragic Canal Drowning) on August 01st 1893 in Newcastle Co. Limerick at the age of 67. Jeremiah’s date marriage to Ellen Connolly are unknown.

Addresses associated with Jeremiah & Ellen O’Sullivan are as follows;

Newcastle County Limerick

Mary Teresa Darcy was the oldest of the O’Sullivan children and she had 7 siblings; Daniel O'Sullivan,  Jeremiah O'Sullivan, Michael O'Sullivan, Ellen O’Sullivan I, Mary (Elisabeth) O’Sullivan II, Ellen O’Sullivan II and Margaret  O'Sullivan.  Mary was born in February 1868 and her siblings were born between August 1870 and January 1883. It is worth noting that none of her siblings survived past their teens. Tragically three of the children died as infants, one at three years, one at five years and the second eldest Daniel at seventeen.

Mary O’Sullivan married James Darcy (an RIC Officer) at the Church of Saint Nicholas on 02nd September 1885. The ceremony was witnessed by David O’Sullivan and Margaret O’Connor. They went on to produce 8 children, six of whom immigrated to the United States.
