Hi,

George was a member of the Royal Engineers, Service no. 22704.

George's father was a picture frame maker.

You have George's parent's names which should help to find George on a census.

JJen has found the only service information.

The foreign marriages register tells us his regiment was Royal Engineers, his rank was 2nd Corporal and his number was 22704.  His father is given as a picture frame maker.

Unfortunately, 60% of service records were destroyed by bombing in the Second World War and only his medal record survives which shows only that he served from 1915 until the end of the war.

I suggest a new thread entitled "Marie Louise Wilson nee Debruyne" on the England - Yorkshire board might have success if you are looking for information after the war.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
