Would someone please fix Pauline and Oscar Lubeck's picture from Canada?

Would it be possible for someone to take away the black and white checked dress and shoe on Pauline's right? Also if it's possible to shade the bright area to Oscars left.
They were my husband's grandparents.

Hi

I'm not sure if you scanned this image but I think the scan was done at an angle and  the bright area looks like the border of the photo.

Not to worry as it can be sorted.
