Elizabeth Mary Alway

On both FindMyPast and Ancestry there are 2 baptisms for Elizabeth Mary Always, one on the 16th July 1877 the other on the 22nd Aug 1880, found a death for the Elizabeth in 1877 so the second child was named after the first Elizabeth Mary.  Although I can find a birth reg for the Elizabeth born in 1880 nothing for the Elizabeth born in 1877.

Is the mothers maiden name Smith?  When did parents marry and is it Alway or Always?

Oh if I have the right family looking at 1881 a son James age 6 is born in the United States??

Is that correct, if so maybe the first Elizabeth was born overseas too. 

James is baptised here (in Glos) 8 Sep 1878.

James has birthplace USA or America on following census so seems to be correct.

Is there a passenger list for them coming back from America? 

That would be conclusive if they have baby Elizabeth with them.

There's a George right age going to America in 1872. 

Could he have met his "wife" there, even if she wasn't born there, and brought her back with any children they had out there

A family tree has marriage to Tracy Smith in USA 1874.

Thanks, see according to the tree Elizabeth was born in Gloucestershire but could be because she was baptised in England
