The obituary for Michael Tierney in 1932 said he had been Chief of Police in Granville for several years before his retirement due to ill health.

Exactly. Where I was basing my information from. Tried to see if there was any news articles or pictures of him or maybe in the younger years via the Fulton History website, but only came across a few similar named men
