Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

I have been researching the Sower family  for a few years now and started this year to write the story from the copious notes and documents I have gathered. My wife is Patricia Anne Sower  age 77 and she is the Great Grandaughter of William Sower and Anne Tyrrell married at Ballysax in 1873. in fact William's was the first civil record of the Sower name in Ireland.
The Sowers originated in Bilston in Staffordshire and the earliest I have found is  a Henry Sower's marriage in 1747. I can now trace from 1847 to the present day as we are fully integrated into her branch of the Sowers in Dublin as are our own children grandchildren and lately great grand children and we are regular visitos to ireland. I have all of Harrriet's sibling information  and also some info u may have on Daniel who married her. I may be able to fill in some gaps for you and vice versa. The other inf you had fits well with mine so we are on the sam track. Get in touch

Hello my names Anthony Ryan. My mothers mother was Elizabeth Sower and her grandparents were William sower and Mary Tyrrell, you mentioned Anne but that’s not correct, William was an officer in the Army corps in the Curragh. I’ve managed to add Harriett and William who were there children. I’ve spent about 2 months researching and I’ve only got back as far as William and Mary. Good to see there is also a Sower out there.
