I have one with his photo in.

I also have 2 photo's from his wedding day.

I'm sure my father in law has photo's of him in uniform.

His daughter is still alive and living in London but is disabled.

His widow had 2 further sons with her 2nd husband.

You have such a lot of information about Richard.  I hope you can pass this on so that he can be honoured and remembered in the book and at their local museum.

There are quite a few family remembrances for Richard in the Newcastle Evening Chronicle in the 1940s from his wife and daughter, his parents, and various other family members.

Thank you to River Tyne Lass for posting the appeal for relatives of Sgt Richard Armstrong.
Hopefully, the family will be in touch with the author of the book so that all the information written is correct.
