Same anc tree I mentioned in reply 1 - they haven't listed parents of Richard Armstrong - apart from Isaac Armstrong and Shaw.

Hi, I have just sent a message to the Ancestry tree owner that Sandra found, with a link to this thread.

I hope they are able to help, fingers crossed.

ADDED The tree owner has just replied to my message, hopefully they will post here soon.

"Richard was the first husband of my father-in-law's mother.
He was from Gateshead.
His wife didn't move to Burradon until after his death when she re-married"

Richard was the first husband of my father-in-law's mother.

He was from Gateshead and had no connection to Burradon.

His widow re-married to Joshua John Todd of Burradon and she settled in that town.

We were only trying to highlight the search for relatives, its great that all these men are honoured after the sacrifices they made.
