Hello I am trying to trace one census for 1891.
I am researching my great grandmother Alice Roberts from Wrexham. She was born in 1896 and has a sister called Edith Roberts 1894 and a half brother William Ellis 1901. She is in a 1901 census with her family and the man is her stepdad (William Thomas Roberts) at engine cottage pentre fron. Her mum is called Mary Ellen Edwards born 1862. I was given a family portrait and apparently she had an older sister called Mary. I have everything I need on Alice, Edith and William Ellis, I am not looking for any info on these 3. I have everything on the mum Mary Ellen except an 1891 census, this is what im looking for to research the real dad.
Its her real Dad I am trying to get info on and her eldest sister Mary, I know his name is Thomas Roberts, he died in 1900 and is buried in coedpoeth cemetery, according to dates on gravestone he would of been born about 1860. I have found a marriage banns for 1882 marrying Mary Ellen, it says they are both living in berse (broughton wrexham) the father listed for Thomas is an Edward Roberts labourer, there is also a witness called John Roberts (possibly a brother). With the photo I have Mary looks like she could possibly been old enough to be born round 1883. I need to find the 1891 census with Thomas, Mary Ellen and Mary.
Just to also say save people giving me info I have already thought about I have looked at an 1881 census that could be Thomas with his family, it has an Edward Roberts, mum Mary, a siblings john, Sarah A and Edward H Roberts from Bersham. Edward has the job Labourer on this census and its round the area Thomas was married. I have saved this as a possibility. I have also seen a a census for 1891 in mold, but the info does not match the details of the Mary Ellen I have. Again I have a lot of info so please I only need an 1891 census that could possibly be them, thanks.
