« on: Monday 04 February 19 04:22 GMT (UK) »
Could sks please translate the attached for me.
German writing.
Interested in names of people, occupations, where residing.
One column may have names of Godparents, not certain.

One name,  looks like Doris Tehr yab Schmidt.  Does yab translate to nee in English.
Thanks for any help.

The word is a shortened form of geboren - to be born, born or as you say 'nee' or 'maiden surname of'.
Geb.
Looks like Doris Fehr (rather than Tehr) born Schmidt
3 Albert Hubner ( with omlaut on U)

Hi davecapps,
Thanks for translating the remainder of this certificate.
The additional names should help to confirm if I am on the right track.
