John Bailes (family surname sometimes also spelled Bayles) was born in Theydon Garnon, Essex in 1803/04 & was a Blacksmith by trade.

Sarah Page (mother's maiden surname obtained from GRO Birth Index) was born in North Weald, Essex in 1813/14.

They would have I believe married sometime around 1831-1836, there first child was born in 1835/36.

In 1841 they are in Epping, Essex (HO107/341/2/16/27) & in 1861 they are in Theydon Garnon, Essex (RG9/1064/79/21).

Can anyone see a marriage for them please?

There could be more but 1821 was as far as I checked.
There are also some Bayles families there as well

1851 they are in Havering - name spelled Bales.
John states born Coopersale Essex

Coopersale registers do not start until 1854 so I went to Epping. I did not find him in Theydon Garnon either, those registers are hard to read faed ink etc.

This family was the only one named Bailes although I did not find a son John.

A Tree has him Bapt 15 Sep 1805 St Michaels church Theydon Mount Essex to William BAILES and ANN nee HIDE.

He has a Brother RICHARD 1809
Bapt 01 Feb 1819 St Michaels church Theydon Mount age 9

And a Sister Martha who married William Hummerstone 3 Oct 1824 Theydon Garnon Church, Epping

I cant confirm any of the above but worth noting.

Martha/William are on Census though and Richard also,

Richard did marry Sarah BUTCHER 25 Dec 1841 (FreeBMD)

Its looks quite plausible due to the 1835 Marriage witnesses names found by jonw65

There is no entry for Bailes in 1805 at All Saints.

John and Martha (twins) born 27 June 1805 baptized 15 September 1805 parents William Bailes and his wife Ann.
Richard born 16 December 1808 baptized 7 January 1809 same parents
