Confused about birth certificate meaning
« on: Tuesday 05 February 19 16:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi all

Bit confused about this on a birth certificate. Seems to read something something like 'Caplans Hand of 2'. I'm assuming Vauxhall Road refers to her address but I'm not sure what the above means and why it's in this section?

Many thanks
Samuel

I read it as "Capstan Hand" and I would imagine that that is her occupation  :-\  And 2 Back 30 Vauxhall Road is the address.  (I assume this is in the age of back-to-back houses).
