Can anyone tell me the exact date of arrival of the ss.Mimelus in November 1926 to Sydney from UK?
I believe the ship was a converted cargo ship.
I am looking for the Fluke family.  Thank you

Hi,

Ancestry has the 1926 Sydney bound passenger list, but it is not month/day specific with
George, Mabel, Joan and Roy Fluke.

According to this ship's list, there was only one sailing of the Mamilius in 1926 to Australia arriving
Dec. 3 in Albany.

The West Australian newspaper Monday Dec. 6, Page 8,
The Mamilius formerly know as the Zealandic arrived Friday from England via Cape Town with passengers for Albany, Melbourne, Sydney, Queensland, and Tasmania.

The Sydney Sun newspaper Friday, Dec. 17, page 13
The Mamilius arrived early this morning with 200 immigrants.

You're welcome  :)

It looks like it was a good sailing for your Mum.....fine weather, parties, dancing etc.

Hi dbree,  This post is particularly interesting.  Good to know that the trip was so good.
As my mum was only 5 years she  had no recollection of the entertainment on board - but she did remember picking. flowers (weeds) from the streets of CapeTown and making them into a bunch. Thanks for your help
