Chilham Marriage 1808
« on: Thursday 07 February 19 18:16 GMT (UK) »
Please can someone check an 1808 marriage at St. Mary Chilham for me?

9 January 1808 Thomas EPPS m. Ann SCOTT.  It's in FreeREG, but what I need to know, please, is the condition of the bride.  Was she a spinster, or as I think, a widow?

Thank you,
Melbell

Thanks for your quick reply, bearkat.  That's odd, in view of other research I've carried out!

Thanks grandarog.  The thing is, I know (99% sure), that she was a widow, but I think she found it easier to 'forget' that, because it might rake up stuff from her past that she didn't want to acknowledge.
