Perhaps you can pick the bones out of this .............According to an anc tree (with photographs) - the parents were Joseph Bates  25 September 1778 Exeter Washington Rhode Island  - 1864 Homer, Cortland, New York and mother Amelia Babcock 1785 Berlin, Rensselaer, New York - 1837 Homer, Cortland, New York. marriage Jul 1806 -  Berlin, Rensselaer, New York.

Emeline Bates 22 decembner Tioga NY married Aaron Wells Mcintire  1827 -  Tioga,  New York.

The 1820/30/40 are only numerical so don't hlep
