Heywood,
Yes I have that information, and was wondering if he changed his name! I know from the marriage certificate of Jane Ann, that her father was a Spinner, she was married twice, the second marriage is my line, i.e. Parkinson to Savage, Savage to Whitehead. Jane Ann is my maternal greatgrandmother.

Okay I'm confused, you say he only moved a few streets from 1851-1891 yet
in 1871 Mary Ann is born Manchester
Jane Ann is born Salford
Emma born Manchester
Louisa born Swinton
Edward born Swinton

Did the districts change that much.

It is a bit confusing. Do you have Jane Ann’s birth details?

1871 3966/149/85

Edward Parkinson 2 yrs
William Ed Taylor 2 yrs grandson
Both shown as born Swinton

Possible births Barton upon Irwell
Edwin Parkinson 1868 mmn Hindley
William Edward Parkinson 1869 no mother’s name

There is a birth Louisa Parkinson 1860 Salford mmn Hindle.

Heywood,
I am reasonably sure that I have the right family, I have traced back through Jane Ann, as I mentioned I have a copy of the marriage certificate, and even the witnesses tally, (Edward Parkinson, and Emma Parkinson) however it is Jane Ann's father that I am stumped on. I have found a family on the 1851 census.. Head, John b 1804 and wife Elizabeth b 1810 Abode, Back Lane,Barton upon Irwell.. most of the children are listed as born in Pendleton, this may be a lead ???

Heywood,
none of the census show the address Deal St, I am happy with what I have researched for the family, just Daniel has been the brick wall

I am not doubting that you have the right family.

The 1865 address is mid census.

Do you mean that you don’t think the baptisms are your family?

Do you have Mary’s maiden name?

What kind of a lead do you mean - father or brother?

Did you follow up the Mary Green marriage?

Heywood,
I thought that this might have been a lead to Daniel's parents, however I cannot find them on the 1841 census. The marriage of Daniel to Mary Green was in 1850 in Garstang, Lanc, (family search site) also found a birth record for Mary 9.5.1826 Wesleyan, Garstang,,Father John, Mother Jane. And a birth record for Daniel 26.10.1828, at St.Helen's Church, Garstang,,Father Richard, Mother Elizabeth. Will keep digging.[ but will have to be in 24 hours, I am in Australia, bed and business coming up till then]
