James Cock inheritance They appear to be Chinese names ?
« on: Tuesday 12 February 19 01:15 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if any of the experts on Rootschat can figure out the highlighted names. They appear to be Chinese names, like Yue Kew and maybe Chong or Dong? The quality of the document isn't very good.
Any suggestions are helpful. I did manage to find that A. G. Wood is the Alexander George ( Wood ) mentioned and the company he represents is Gibb Livingston.
Thanks in advance

Wiggy,  did you modify your post after you had initially posted the following?

oops you have - got there too fast?  Sorry!   ;D

Wiggy.

ADD,  If I had realised you were transcribing it,  I would not have attempted it.

Sorry - you hadn't posted anything when I posted my transcription.

I was the only reply at the time.

Wiggy,

When I went to post,  there was no reason for me to stop posting,  because there was NO warning that there was an unread post.

At the time I read your post there was NO indication that you would be modifying it and adding an entire transcription and I recall your words at the time seemed to me to indicate it may be poor quality or difficult to reason or along that vein...

So I read the image and considered that I could read it.

Then after I posted it,  I read back through the thread ...

Your post had grown by many paragraphs...

I recall a thread on the Australia board where the Global Moderator reminded the poster that modifying was not really there for the purpose of adding paragraphs ...
If as it seems, your transcription was ready prior to anyone else posting,  surely it would be sensible to make it as a new post ... there could well be othet RChatters who,  like me,  also typed it up,  and who have not posted theirs because they know to try to avoid duplications.

I too try to avoid duplications.

Hi,
I am inclined to go with chong rather than dong.
See snip with d and c near each other for comparison

Well, I don't know whether she does or not, but it was mentioned as seemingly open to question.

I just think when this document writer makes d, the circle is usually well closed.

Just a  thought really, but may make a difference in the search.
