Finally retired - Harlow records

I guess this is maybe a daft question

I now have some time to look into my family tree, and can have some days out looking at records.  But I really don't know what I could look at.  I have traced family back to Harlow (and Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire) that are easy day trips for me.

I am fairly sure that there are no gravestones remaining at St Mary and St Hugh as I looked years ago, and did email and ask on forums years ago.

I have found the brett, Tucker and Everett to 1750s and then come to a halt.

Anyone recommend any good things to do?

Harlow intrigues me as I was born there and no one realised that family had lived there in the 1800s

Essex records office on line is a good place to start for Harlow.  They have a pay for view site, where you can look at the original records but it takes time as there isn’t a ‘search function’.  It’s possible to see if the parish and date range you want to view are available before you spend.

any where that is worth visiting in person?

I have some of the Essex records, when they first started they were free.  Have a few bookmarked ready for when I pay for 24 hours
