Great-Great Aunt Immigration Help Please
« on: Tuesday 12 February 19 20:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I'm looking for help in trying to find an immigration listing for my great-great aunt please. Her name was Mary Kevin b. 17 February 1851 Ballinure, Co. Tipperary, Ireland to James Kevin & Mary Nolan.
Immigration would have been sometime between 1870-1873, as she was in Victoria, Australia in 1873, and married on 16 November 1873 to Thomas Tighe.
I have everything you could possibly get on her and her family in Australia, and am in touch with family there also but nobody can find an immigration listing.
Thank you
The surnames, which I am interested in are; Maternal side: Ryan, Kevin, Grant, Grady, Gleeson, Walsh, Dwyer, Paternal side: O' Dwyer, Woodlock, Rochford & Britton - all in Tipperary; and Kelly and Hoynes in Laois.

Ryan, Campbell, Luttrell, Grant, Grahame, Bainbridge and Brown in Queensland, Australia

Tighe in Victoria, Australia.

Grant in Philadelphia, Sullivan and Penny in New York; and Britton in Connecticut

Hi Annie,
The only James Ke(e)vin I found was this...…….in Griffiths Valuation.
www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=doNameSearch&familyname=keevin&firstname=james&baronyname=&countyname=TIPPERARY%2C+SOUTH+RIDING&unionname=&parishname=&Submit.x=64&Submit.y=14&Submit=Submit

Townland of Lurgoe in the Parish of Graystown

Most Keevin and Kevin records seem to be at that address.
An earlier record show a Michael Kevin In Moyne, County Tipperary.

Possibly Ancestry would have the ship record.
