West Bromwich workhouse records
« on: Thursday 14 February 19 16:40 GMT (UK) »
Hello  :)
I have located the death certificate and burial records for my 4x g grandfather Edward Walker who died 30th April 1845 in what looks like Lambeths inst which I am thinking is a workhouse infirmary as he died one day after being crushed by a flywheel at work aged 26. He was buried in Christ Church , West Bromwich on April 4 th after an inquest. Gruesome I know but I have no idea where he originates from and was hoping to locate any records from his stay here to break down this particular brick wall. I have his marriage in Christleton in Chester from 1844 and a home address of Park Lane Tipton from his sons birth certificate in February 1845.
I am told he may have been been of scottish origin ( family lore) but cannot find anything else......Any help gratefully appreciated in advance

It does not look as though a lot survives for that time

Does his marriage give an information on his father
