I think that I tried the initials on the censuses but I'll go through that again as well as looking for Henry or H.N. Fisher. I get the feeling also he may have joined the army despite having asthma. His next eldest brother joined the army when underage (told lie) and did long service, fought in Boer war. I'll do some more checking. Thanks for everyone's input so far.  :)
