Looking for great great grandfather

I’m looking for my great great grandfather. Sadly I know very little about the family at all. My grandfather has been a family secret and after 11 years of searching I’ve only just found him. Cyril Bennett. Born 1906 Newcastle on Tyne.

The man I’m looking for lived in the Newcastle/Durham area. Charles Joseph Bennett is his name. He has a son Charles Henry year of birth 1879.

Any help greatfully appreciated.

Charles Joseph Bennett and Margaret and family are all on census 1881 through to 1911, 1891 has them listed as BENWELL

To this family so far I cannot find a Cyril Bennett, what other information do you want or need on Cyril

Cyril is the son of Charles Henry Bennett born 1879, and the grandson of Charles J Bennett born Plymouth. Cyril is on the 1911 census with his parents Charles Henry and Florence Bennett.


However I think it is Charles J Bennett and family that the OP is asking about.
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
