Adelaide May Mansell born 5/6/1894 Acocks Green married Albert Edward Jones in 1921 Birmingham.

Adelaide died in 1931 in Birmingham.

1927- 1930 Yardley Electoral register both living at  264, Monica Road, Yardley.

There is a Death Albert E Jones Birmingham aged 62 in 1955. just a guess.

MY question is Where did he come from, when was he born, who were his parents.

I know I may have to buy the Marriage certificate.

I did find a birth Albert Edward Jones Dec qtr 1892 Birmingham. mmn Maul. So it could be him in 1955 aged  62.

I have found a marriage Albert Frederick Jones to Alice Maul Dec qtr 1890 Kings N.

might be the parents of Albert Edward birth Dec 1892.

Between 1891-1894 freebmd has 4 births for that name in Warwickshire.  That assumes he was b Warwickshire and not elsewhere ??

With a surname like Jones you need the marriage cert.   Noticed they had 4 children but can only find one on the 1939 register and unfortunately she was in another household

The 1939 has 3 entries for Albert E  Jones - none b 1892

Hello Carole,

I have tried to find him in 1939 before without any joy. I couldn't put those children down to them for certain either because the name Jones is so common and there are a lot of Mansells in Birmingham not related. I know because I have at least 128.000 images of baptims and marriages of every parish in Birmingham from about 1900 onwards. None of those four children christian names are the same as any of her family either which is a bit unusual as well. Although they could well be their children.
