Mother-in-law Maria Flanagan with Whelans in 1901. I she a widow? if so, you could search for death of a John Flanagan, commercial traveller on Irish Genealogy site.

Hi aghadowey & myluck!

Thankyou so much for the links.

I know of my 2xgrandfather John Flanagan's occupation being a Commercial Traveller, i only found one who died 20th December 1897 in Dublin also as a Commercial Traveller and i thought it all adds up as my 2xgrandmother Gertrude Flanagan nee Tiffin remarried in 1898 to John Forsythe, stating as Gertrude as a widow, but i find it really strange on John's death record the informant was his widow Maria.

About Josephine Flanagan there doesn't seem to be a birth record, so i could of found out her mothers maiden name, and then i could of looked up the marriage of John Flanagan and Maria ? around 1868.

I'm wondering if John may of been married twice, i hope so.

Regards
  Gary

I can't follow what you've posted. Who is Gertrude and where does she come into this? It seems likely that the widowed Maria Flanagan with the Whelans in 1901 would be the same widow Maria informant for death of John Flanagan if Josephine's father was a commercial traveller called John Flanagan.

There may be a birth record for Josephine but not under the name you are looking for.

We can't do much more until you sort out what you've posted? Where does 'Gertrude' come into the details in your first post? I've lots more information but won't post until questions are answered or at least conflicting details are explained  :-\
