Newcastle Evening Chronicle death notices, 1923 and 1937
« on: Monday 18 February 19 21:09 GMT (UK) »
If its possible I 'd like to know of there were death notices for the following, please:

Thomas Humble, buried 25 August 1923, Saltwell Cemetery

John James Chapman, buried 22 July 1937, Saltwell Cemetery

These years not yet available in the online newspapers.

They were (consecutively!) the husbands of Edith (nee Woodcock) and I'd guess that IF there were notices it would have been a day or so before their burial dates.

Thanks

Boo

Hi Boo,

I couldn't find a death notice for the first man but there was one placed for the second husband:

Evening Chronicle - Wednesday, July 21, 1937

'CHAPMAN.- Gateshead, 43 Dunsmuir Grove, July 19th aged 74 years. John James, beloved husband of Edith Chapman.  Interment Thursday, Saltwell Cemetery; leaving residence 2.15.  All friends kindly invited.'

Thank you RTL,that's very helpful and I really appreciate the help.

Its good to have the second one confirmed and I have enough checking points for the first to be as sure as I can be about him.
