Hi

Was Woolley Sanatorium used as a Army Hospital in the second World War? I have been looking for the records to see if my Father James Alexander Price was treated there in 1945. Tyne & Wear archive has the records but not for the period just before, during and just after the war.

If it was does anyone now it Army designation?

Is this the Wooley Sanatorium which was a little to the south of Hexham, Northumberland?

Yes at Slaley near Hexham. It was a TB hospital. Jeff

It seems to have been used by the military. From the The Berwick Advertiser - Thursday 30 August 1945
