Hi

I hope someone can help me please.  I'm struggling to find information on William Wright (police officer), he was born in 1886.  He married Mary Ann Robinson 24th October 1912 in Nantwich, Cheshire - both were living in Crewe prior to marriage.  I have the marriage certificate and it says his father is William Wright, Gamekeeper and her father is Alfred Robinson, Carter.  I've been going through Ancestry and other websites to try and find information on the Wright side but I'm struggling.  Out of William and Mary's 6 children, 1 had children and I'm one of their grandchildren.  So I can't find anything from anyone else as I'm the only one looking, so I'm desperate to see what I can find. 

I did find a marriage for a William Wright to Mary Jane Ballance in 1880, but I'm not 100% I've got it right.

I'd really appreciate any help I can get please.

Who were the witnesses to the marriage.

Do you have William on the 1939 register, if so could you please give details.

Hi

Yes on the 1939 register, he is living at Dubhouse Villas, Congleton, Cheshire, with Mary A Wright (Robinson),  May Edith and Olive Wright.

My god how rubbish am I?  I vaguely remember this now, my memory is shocking.

I only picked it up when I did a search on F M P and found the record was 'ticked' indicating I had looked at it before

According to the 1911 census William Wright was born in Chester about 1886.

There is a Registration there  Q3/1886 Vol 8a page 422 but there is also one in 1885

The only 1890 census I can find is in Denbighshire. 
William Right born Chester about 1886 age 5, He is noted as visitor with  Thomas Garsenage  & Sarah his wife both 41, they have 7 children.
No clear trace in 1901.
