My Grandad John David (Dai) Edwards, Artillery, Stalag XX
« on: Wednesday 20 February 19 15:46 GMT (UK) »
Hello

I'm trying to find out some details about my grandad John David (Dai) Edwards who was captured in St Valery and was marched to Thorn, Poland. My mum told me he was in Stalag XX, but not sure what that means as there seems to be XXa and XXb...? He was in the Royal Artilllery and came from North Wales, UK.

I'm new to this and so was kind of hoping for some guidance to at least find out how he survived and what he endured.

Thanks for any advice
Mark
