Arthur Kershaw & Mary Hackett

I've just found the Birth certificate for Mary Hackett. 
She was born Mary Anne Hackett on 21 November 1883 not 1884. at 35 Lwr Sherrif St. Dublin.  Father Laurence Hackett, a Labourer 
Mother Mary Byrne.  Mother Registered the birth on 9th Jan 1884 North Dublin

That is not the correct Mary Hackett who married Arthur Hacket in Glasgow in 1893. Her matching birth entry shows as:

From FS, a number of siblings showing for Mary including an older sister called Cecilia. The 1911 census discussed shows Mary with a daughter also callled Cecilia doesn't it.

Teresa, you are following this couple, with the marriage in 1893 Glasgow, because you are connected to the Bolton line?

This Arthur who married Mary Hackett in Glasgow is the son of Mary Ann Bolton and Arthur Hackett. You has his birth in Clontarff in 1871.

You need to unravel what is going on after the marriage though...Was this Arthur who married in the 1893, the same Arthur who died in Scotland some years later?

No I am not connected to the Bolton Line. 

Just trying to sort out the Arthur Kershaw's  who had children  born in Dublin as there are 3 of us trying to discover which Arther Kershaw belongs to each other's relatives..mine being Arthur Kershaw who Married Mary Wigmore, Widow, nee Brady.

Re Earlier reply to my thread.. is about the Mary born on November 21 1884..who's Birth Certificate I found. but she was born 1883 not 1884.

I agree the other 1883 Birth is  for Mary Josephine Hackett Father James Hackett Mother Catherine Doran. 

As Mary Hackett is not a relative of mine..I will give up on that one.

I think the only thing we have been able to confirm on this thread is that the Arthur K who married Mary Hackett (details for her provided above) in Glasgow was the son of Arthur Kershaw and Mary Ann Bolton.

The two possible Arthur/Mary families in Dublin and the Glasgow area post the date of this marriage, you will need to figure out really

The death certs in Scotland, which were mentioned earlier, together with the birth cert for Edith in Scotland will help you to clarify further. Scottish birth certs include date and place of parents' marriage. You can compare details with that 1893 marriage we have.

The family looks to have been back in Ireland for the 1901 and 1911 censuses. The details from their 1911 entry shows Arthur and Mary married 18 years and 3 children, one deceased.

I have to say that a lot of Irish Certificates don't always record a second Christian  Name of a person, which in some cases it might only show on one child's Birth Cert or on a spouse's death certificate or even on a Marriage Certificate...   One of by Brady's Married as a Charles but his full name was Michael Charles Brady!

I have a Death Certificate for Arthur Kershaw who died 1936 in Glasgow aged 65. (born c.1871)
It say's he was married to Mary Hackett.  Arthur's Parents were Arthur Kershaw Gardener's Labourer, (Dec'd) Mother Mary Anne Bolton (Deceased) His married sister Sarah was the informant.

Hello! I am relatively new to ancestry, and welcome any help and guidance. However in a search for my  maternal great grandmother , I happened upon this thread. Emily Kershaw b. 1898 d.1945 was my Great grandmother. Arthur Kershaw was her father married to Mary Hacket. I have scoured the internet looking for information of her burial place and headstone but with no joy, so wondered if anyone could help here? I am also unaware of her sister that has been mentioned as Edith Kershaw. I know she had a sister, and that they both died young, leaving children behind. Emily also married twice that I have found; her last husband being Daniel Boylan. would anybody on this thread be able to offer any further information or advice for finding Irish graves?
