From someone's previous post i have the information that Jane McCallum (who married Andrew Buchanan in 1878) was born 11th March 1859, but I haven't been able to find her birth certificate on Scotlands people.
Also I haven't been able to find the birth certificate of William Dunstan, son of Andrew Buchanan and Jane McCallum, but I found him on the 1901 census, aged 16  He was living in the household of James Brownlie who had married Jane (McCallum) Buchanan after Andrew Buchanan died in 1890.
I would appreciate any help re the birth certificates, and would also love any further information on the Buchanan and McCallum families.

thank you.

Re the children of Andrew BUCHANAN and Jane McCallum / McCallion I advise that George BUCHANAN didn’t die in WW1. He migrated to Australia, leaving London on the 10th November 1911 on the steamship Kapaira. He married here and I’m his granddaughter.
I thank you for all the other information about this family.

Greerjv you were also looking for a birth for a William Dunstan son of Jane McCallum and Andrew
Buchanan not sure where the Dunstan name comes in
But there is 2 possible births on Scotland's People
William McCallu Buchanan 1884 Hamilton Lanarkshire
William Buchannan 1884 New Monkland

I would say the one in Hamilton would be the one to check out Hamilton is down as place of birth on census forms ..And when his mother applies for poor relief
