Signature Comparison & Thoughts Please?
« on: Friday 22 February 19 03:12 GMT (UK) »
Hi folks,

Looking for opinions please on these 4 signatures being from the same woman?

I was quite happy to believe them to be so but a recent discrepancy from a direct ancestor of the woman (a distant branch on my tree) believes there were only 3 children at this point although I believe there were 4?

Certainly look like the same signature, but the 'mother' in the first seems to have been written by someone else - or the 'M' at least.

For some reason, it amuses me how she crosses her t's.  In her name, she only crosses half the t to avoid running into the S, but in "mother" she consistently runs into the h.

I believe they are all the same person.

This was one of the factors which helped me to decide it to be most likely the same person.

It is different but I believe it to have been the same hand as I've noticed I too can have different ways of writing the same letters at times (reason unknown)  ::)
