I found the man in the title (Ernest Gilbert Croshaw) to be my great-great grandfather and would love to know more about him, but I am not sure how, so if anyone could help, I would be grateful.

I've learned that he was born on October 2nd, 1886, in Hull, Yorkshire, England.
I also found that he was in the RAF and the Royal Navy (listed as Armourer's Crew 1st Class, though I'm not sure what this means).
