Emegrating from Norway to South Africa

Where do I find info on the people who emigrated from Norway to South Africa in the 1800's ?

Looking for Torval or Torbal Johanssen b. abt 1876 in Norway. He got married in South Africa in 1897.

Do not know if he came out with his parents or by himself.

Do you have his marriage certificate?
It may state where he came from or even his parents.

His marriage certificate just has where he was staying at the time he got married.
The consent was given  for the bride by her father, Henry Lawrence.

One of the witnesses to his marriage was Annie M Johanssen who could be a relative. On his death notice it says he was born in Norway, and both parents are dead no names given.
