Edward Petch

Can anyone find any information on my great-great grandfather, Edward Petch?
He was born on September 26th, 1876 (in Bridlington, I believe) and died in 1945 (possibly in Hull, though not definitely).

Thank you.

I will ask the moderator to move your post to the W Yorks board.

Have you looked for him on the 1881/1891/1901/1911  censuses which are free on www.familysearch.org

His death is on freebmd and was in Hull in 1945.  www.freebmd.org.uk

Did he marry Mary Ann Stratford in 1904 @ St Stephens Hull?

As he died in 1945 you should be able to find him on the 1939 register which will give you his address and occupation plus Mary’s full birthdate

Rootschat does not allow 1939 lookups

I think Mary Ann was previously married to Frederick Stratford in 1888 and her maiden name was Buckerfield

There is a death in 1902 Hull for Frederick Stratford aged 49

1939 - Ancestry have him transcribed correctly, FindMyPast try surname Pete? (I have submitted a correction).
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
