The farmer word is her husbands occupation, the maiden name is above the word farmer.

Which country were your ancestors from? What was the name and age of the person who died in 1900?

Added: Was it Michael born c 1828 in Co Mayo who died in NZ in 1900? This is from a family tree on a/try (I think yours?).

Julia Burke abt 1800 mother of Michael Burke 1828 -1900 Michael from County Mayo and his father Patrick abt 1798
I'm researching Julia but unable to come up with any links using variants of her maiden name which is proving difficult to decipher.

Could you please let us know from which country the death certificate was issued and who the informant was.  If this is the NZ death referred to earlier on by MonicaL could you pl advise if the parents also emigrated to NZ.
