The surname begins: ffe__

It could be ffenn or ffeun or (less likely) ffeim.

Have you checked the beginning of the next line for a continuation of the word?

Can you please show us a bit more especially what is on the right hand side of her name?

I have become a bit attuned to Secretariat Hand after transcribing a 1685 litigation case, and I do know that the name in this attachment is 'Elizabeth Fairbanke'

The initial 'F' - looks like Ff - is I think the same.

Rootschat is playing up.     It won't let me add attachment which it says is too big, but I have checked the size again and again and it is only 283kb.

Tried again without any attachment and once more it tells me that file is too big - even without an attachment!

  This is ridiculous even with change of name of attachment it won't work and attachment is only 283 kilobytes.

Perhaps give it a new file name ... just change it slightly

Have reduced attachment to 70 kilobytes and changed the name and it still won't work.

 Must be something wrong with Rootschat.
