Maria Landamore of Wroxham

Hi all.

I've been looking into Maria Landamore & I've hit a brick wall!

Maria Landamore was born 1828 in Wroxham to James & Ann Landamore, & was baptised 20 Jul 1828. She married a Matthew Custance on 21 May 1848 @ Wroxham. Unfortunately Matthew died in 1862, aged 42 years. He is buried @ Wroxham.

After that Maria is a complete mystery. I have her living in Wroxham in both the 1841 & 1851 census but that's it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There is a marriage in Wroxham 27 December 1865 between a Maria Landamore and a Henry Lordor Hall on fs.

FreeBMD has Maria Landimore/Henry Tudor Hall Dec 1865 St Faiths 4b 285

I haven't checked the Censuses.

Interesting snippet from the Norfolk News, 14 October 1854

"I Matthew Custance, Wroxham, Norfolk hereby give notice that I will not be responsible for any Debt or Debts which may be incurred by my wife, Maria after this date, October 14th 1854"

And earlier similar notice, 7 February 1852 in the Norfolk News, which also adds "she having left me without my consent"

Wonder if she went back to using her maiden name.

I didn't know this, thank you! I've tried searching for her under her maiden name and I can't find anything, the plot thickens!
