I will rewrite this:

graysj is the orginal poster

"John Brougham" buried in Mildura, Victoria, Australia in 1922 could possibly be "John Lindsey Brougham Idle" that dissappeared from New Zealand.

"John Lindsey Brougham Idle" was known to be a carpenter, he was also known to committ a few crimes ...... sometimes people that disappear just make the same mistakes all over again in a new country

"John Brougham" a carpenter of Ballarat, in Victoria, Australia in 1915 could possibly be the "John Brougham" that died in Mildura, Victoria, Australia in 1922.

I'm not certain that buying the death certificate of "John Brougham" than died in 1922 would show his birth date as the entry shows no parents? Would it show his trade of carpenter??

So no new topic
Wemyss/Crombie/Laing/Blyth (West Wemyss)
Givens/Normand (Dysart)
Clark/Lister (Dysart)
Wilkinson/Simson (Kettle or Kettlehill)

Hello Whiteout7,

That's interesting. All we know is that John Idle from England went to NZ and after a various terms of prison we can find no further trace of him. It could be that the John Brougham who is also a carpenter that you have found, is our man. If we could ascertain his age at death that might clinch it.
