Sorry, I think you knew that!
Got just a little thing here...
The Manningtree overseers rate books, unfortunately some are damaged. The first good one after them starts with the rate made on 24 June 1811
Pond Street with Hill
And in the list there it seems to say Freeman Worts late Bolton

Now, going back to the previous, damaged, book - item 7 on the film, 1805-11, and looking for a readable page...
We have, Pond Street with Hill
Can see some of the names from the later book, in order, John Long, Thomas Hunt, etc
And there is John Bolton
followed by Benjamin Lucas, as per Worts late Bolton in 1811

I am reading this as John Bolton was living there but no it is Freeman Worts (who appears to be a real person)

Shame so much of this is damaged.

Yes, Bolton was living there at some date prior to 1811 and presumably was the previous occupier.
Actually the next two at least say Freeman Worts/ late Bolton Empty.
But the Boltons couldn't have been gone very long before 1811? Could they (presuming John was alive if there is no burial in Manningtree) have gone off with, or followed, James + Elizabeth?

I notice that Little Bromley was giving mother's maiden names on baptisms! As per the Amelia Cuthbert baptism in 1811. There is one Bolton baptism indexed there, which was in 1810, can't find anything on the parents (just in case they might be connected!)
