Causes of Death

I don't really know where to post this, as I am very new to it all, but someone helped me find an ancestor's cause of death a couple of days ago and I was hoping somebody on here could tell me my other ancestor's causes of death, if possible:-

Lucy Brown (1886-1983.
Charlotte Devereux (1832-1924).
Ernest Gilbert Croshaw (1886-1948).
Charles Victor Jackson (1888-1979).
Mark Henry West (1848-1911).
Rachel West (nee Webb) (1851-1934).
George Albert Goffin (1867-1927).

Causes of death are generally only available by purchasing death certificates unless for some reason it has appeared in a newspaper.  Anyone trying to help you would need to know where they died

Lucy died in Cottingham, Yorkshire.
Charlotte possibly died in Blofield, Norfolk.
Ernest died in Hull, Yorkshire.
Charles died in Hull too.
Mark also died in Hull, as did Rachel and George too.

The cause of death information that was found for you, where did they get it from and whose death was it

Ernest Gilbert Croshaw buried 25 Feb 1948 at the Northern Cemetery, Hull
Cause of death column has not been filled in, but date of death was 22 Feb. Residence 9 Askew Avenue

From a previous thread, you know that Ernest died "after a long weary illness"

But it also has Sculcoates Infirmary in brackets, presumably that is where she died.

She was buried in compartment no. 51, grave 5155 (perpetuity), maybe with other family members

8871 in that grave is Ethel West, buried 15 January 1959. Died 24 Nov 1958, age 66.
An address in Devon is given - 3 Lee Cottages, Bickington. Newton Abbot Hospital is mentioned.
The name Frederick William West is in the informant column.
Causes of death no longer given, although the column is still there.
