Bastardy Bonds - South Cerney
« on: Monday 04 March 19 07:15 GMT (UK) »
Trying to find out if there are any bastardy bonds or records for the South Cerney parish.

Hoping to find something about the father of Helen Hewer MOSS born early 1832 at South Cerney to Emma MOSS a singlewoman.

Suspect the father may have been a HEWER as it was fairly common I believe to give the surname of the father as a second name in these cases. There was a HEWER family in South Cerney at this time.

Emma married Alfred RENALL in London in 1838 and came to NZ in 1840.

Thanks.

If any survive, they will be at Gloucestershire Archives.
And highly unlikely to be online :(
