Service Record Search
« on: Monday 04 March 19 17:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi I wonder if you can help?  I'm looking for my deceased grandfather and grandmothers service numbers, they were both stationed in Northern Ireland in 1945 in the Army.  Unfortunately we have no record available and not sure where to start.

Thank you
Suzanne

Their records will still be held by the Ministry of Defence.  Check out the process for getting their records:
https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-service-records

You'll see that if you have their dates of birth, death certificates, can attest to having the agreement of the next of kin (which should be no problem - you may be the nok anyway),then you can apply to get their records.  They are not on line and there really is no other way of getting the records which I imagine is the result you want.

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe
