Ainslie that was a good suggestion...places associated with this family are Eton College, King's College, Cambridge, The House of the Sacred Mission, and The Grange, St. Anne's, Eastbourne but can't make any of them fit ::)

Interesting tracks in courtyard, looks like horse and carriage. Can anybody make out what the darker area is on the left of photo, leading from the steps towards the building at the bottom of the photo?

Yes I wondered if dark area barbells or some sort of platform.  Maybe a French building also unusual chimney on front building

I wondered they were a newly planted or pruned double row of shrubs and the darker area around was newly dug soil??   :-\

And the trees on the right of the building look newly-planted too. I assume the photo was taken soon after the completion of the building - it has an emlty look about it. Possibly a new school or institution connected to one of the names you mention? It obviously has a high tower from where the photo wa taken
