Death of William Henry Walsham
« on: Thursday 07 March 19 11:38 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for a death date for WIlliam Henry Walsham B1824 Shadwell.

There is also a William Henry Walsham B1825 in Pentonville - I have followed this line and it is not the right one.

There is a death in 1892 for a William Henry B 1825 but how do I work out if it is the right William.
From census record of his wife i think he dies between 1891 and 1901 but William Henry does not appear to be on any census.

What I have is William H b. 1825 Shadwell to father James a block cutter married 1857 to Louisa Payne.
The marriage has James a block cutter as father.
I notice there are 4 children from 1859-65 then a 10 year gap followed by 2 more who both have the middle name Watts.
Is it possible William died in the late 1860's & the last 2 children are from another man?

I notice in 1891 Louisa Walsham is "housekeeper" to an Isaac Watts & in 1901 he's living next door to her.

What you have so far is solid.

Louisa is living with Isaac Watts, the father of the two additional children, in 1881 she is listed as married and again in 1891. By 1901 she is still with Isaac but listed as widowed.

So i think that William died between 1891 and 1901. It also fits in with Williams childrens marriage certificates.

William is a mariner, so that could explain his absence.
