Finding a 1911 census page in Ancestry?
« on: Thursday 07 March 19 15:09 GMT (UK) »
I only have an ancestry sub.

And I have failed to find the 1911 entry for a "person of interest"

I finally tried using FindMyPast, and got an immediate hit, but I don't have a sub.

I searched familysearch and found this:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XWQL-5Y4

Can anyone (likely with subs to FindMyPast AND Ancestry) find this record/page in Ancestry, so I can download it?

A roundabout way, but it works:

Search for Joseph Sutor - there is only 1 = page 316.  Then go back through the pages to page 308  ;)  For some reason there are pages which have not been transcribed.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Snap, But you beat me to it ! LOL
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

By browsing :

The form has four pages of names only two of which have names on them, above is the first page, next is the back, then comes the other names.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.
