What is this person's middle initial?
« on: Thursday 07 March 19 19:23 GMT (UK) »

Having trouble with this, it's been transcribed as an O but that doesn't look right to me, and I'm struggling to find a relevant William O Thomas.

It's from a 1939 England & Wales register, the person lived in Glamorganshire, Wales.

Thanks in advance!

It certainly looks like an O. Are there any other capital letters that look like this on the same page.

As Trishanne says, the only way to tell, if you're not happy with the transcription, is to see if it is similar to anything else on the page that you CAN identify.

Sadly no, I did have a look to compare it but I couldn't find anything useful.

Could you give us more information on him  (Date of birth, place, etc. ) so that we could look up the page and maybe look at a few more pages with that handwriting.

Just found him - first page that I looked at!  The Cs are different, so I'd vote for O.

Added - here's an O

Welp, that'll teach me to be more careful when looking at things. Thanks for that!
