Trishanne,

When you have done things for me before, I have never had so much personal experience of the people or places but this time it is hard for ME to be objective.  I was born a quarter of a mile from this building and lived my childhood in the area.  As a young man I used to drink, and sometimes dine, in this pub.  I had family who worked in the pub.  I have grown up watching it develop from a scruffy old pub to a smart pub/restaurant and then to a private house.  When I saw your latest version my first thought was "I'm home!"

The landlord named here was the grandfather of another man who lived inn the village and the pub changed hands when this landlord died.  His grandsons experiences parallel mine.  We don't remember each other but with your superb rendition and some information I have found elsewhere on Rootschat I am going to give him a similar feeling.

It's an incredible and emotional experience but, for the first time ever I have looked at an enhanced photo and just known it was exactly right.  It looks exactly like the old pub I used to pass on the bus on my way to work on snowy mornings in the late 60s/early 70s.  It is perfect.  You have done a fantastic job.  I think there might be a few tears in that family tonight.

I don't know how to thank you.

Neville
