John Woodham died Great Bedwyn 1789 - any more detail?
« on: Friday 08 March 19 02:48 GMT (UK) »
Hi folks,

I found this record in the Wiltshire Burials Index 1538-1990 (via FindMyPast)

>>>         John   Woodham   —   1789   Great Bedwyn

Is there any way to get more detail on this fellow?
A birth year and place would be nice, but anything will do.

Cheers
-David C

Burial was 25 February 1789.

There was no requirement to give age on burial records, although a column for age was inserted in the burial records books from 1812.

Sometimes, you might find records that do record age /before 1812/ but not very often as it would be dependent on the vicar/clerk.

Monumental Inscriptions might record the age but I believe the available  Wiltshire MI records are recorded on FindMyPast - https://www.wiltshirefhs.co.uk/index.php/inscriptions
