Help, please. Need mother's maiden name.  It was transcribed as McEvoy but when I search for Michael Cullen-Betty McEvoy marriage I do not find anything.

I read it as Michael son of "ditto" Cullen i.e. the same name as the child.

If the search isn't finding the marriage you may have to search through the parish yourself
https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0502
It's also possible the bride could be from a neighbouring parish and the marriage took place in her parish.

Thank you for the parish link Sinann.  I did find a Cullen-McEvoy marriage on Ancestry.com but it was with an Edward Cullen and Elizabeth - and I need Edward to be born around 1813.  My Edward (which I am hoping is the one noted in my original post) is married to Isabella Connell.  I will check out the parish link and maybe find them there.  Again, thank you.

Sinann, I found the marriage for Michael Cullen and Elisabeth McVoy in the parish link you posted!  Thank you, thank you. It was August16, 1806.
