1861/1871/1881 Look up please CROWLEY/SULLIVAN
« on: Sunday 14 August 05 16:48 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am still trying to trace THOMAS CROWLEY, b.c.1864 and JULIA SULLIVAN b.c.1868. They came to Cardiff at some point, possibly during the potato famine, and married in Roath, Cardiff in 1884. I know that JULIA shelled seafood and was apparently quite a chmapion at doing so!

Thanks

Hi Zebedee

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you had a look at all the usual general resources I tend to suggest?  ;)

You could also look at these Roscommon specific sites which may help.

Perhaps you would like to have a look at these resources to see if there is anything that might help you.

Please come back with any further queries or to let us know how you get on.

Best wishes

I have just passed on a birth cert to relatives in Wales re-Crowley name. There may be a connection as the certificate was registered in Cork and Sullivan is common to that area. There is a Crowley Clan reunion planned for September in Cork but I will have to look up the name of the Hotel.
Meantime there is also a site you might try
www.irishclangeathering.com/clan/info
PS There may be an 'S' in geathering
I have a sneaky feeling we might be talking about the same family.

Many thanks. No joy with that web address I am afraid. Can you check it for me? Thomas and Julia are my aunt's grandparents.
Many thanks

TRY
www.crowleyclan.com/community/newsletter

Clan geathering from around the world is on the weekend of 14-16th Sept 2007 at the Quality Hotel Clonakilty (I presume Co. Cork) Phone 00-353-23-36-400
Group reference 439 Crowley Clan geathering.
There is a hotel website & email address but I'm not sure about posting ++hotel info here as it might be classed as advertising.
Best I can do and hope it helps.
